Maryland is offering a bounty for a killer fish that can survive on land, the Daily Mail reported

The state’s Department of Natural Resources is hosting an annual contest with a $200 reward for killing the snakehead, which is banned from the U.S. and is a threat to other species.

Snakeheads grow up to several feet long and can survive outside of water for three days.

After demolishing the native population in rivers they simply hop up on land and seek out another source. They eat everything from fish and frogs to birds and small mammals.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources said they don’t expect to wipe out the snakehead population, but the contest could help to control it.

The fish originate in Asia and Africa and are considered a delicacy in Vietnamese food.

If you want to try your luck at the contest, here’s a video on how to kill these ferocious fish.
