Here’s a bunch of assorted Crack the Sky articles, photos and videos from my collection and from the Crack the Sky Fans Facebook Group and the Crack the Sky Facebook Page. I wanted to post my faves in one easy-to-find place.
Dave Pollick: “After being a roadie working my way through colleges in the 70’s I thought I’d heard it all. When CTS opened for Kansas at the Astor Theater in Reading, PA (I’m guessing ’75 or ’76) they blew me away (as well as blowing Kansas away). I must’ve written some incoherent letter telling them they changed my musical world. Got a nice reply. Too many shows to remember later, and they are still my desert island band.”

Take it, I shall…and like it too. Thanks for posting. There is still quite an active CTS (and related) community. Most of us are now on FB (including many, but not all band members). Many of the CTS alum are still making great musak for us Ball-morons. And CTS is still a special events band in the Ballmur area mostly, with some alum still lighting up the Pitts-booger area as they still live near there.
Again, thanks!
Norman
I have a load I need to post. Some new some from the Facebook groups. Trying to get stuff in one place! I’ll slowly add to the list. I found a bunch of Baltimore Sun reviews I need to scan.
Please contact me directly.. I have 2 pieces you may be able to shed some light on…thanks, david
I had a live double CD that was recorded in, I think, a basement. It was a fundraiser for breast cancer research in memory of a wife who had passed away from the cancer. It was a wonderful recording and would like to find it again. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Brett, “Songs for Catherine” is here and the contact to purchase a copy is in the description. I ordered a copy from Markus myself! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vL4ODROilQ
